BIOGRAPHY

After earning her undergraduate degree in Honors Political Science from the University of Alberta, Anna-May pursued her passion for law, graduating with an LL.B. in 2011 from the same esteemed institution. During her time as a law student, she honed her legal research and analysis skills by working as a Student Researcher for the Centre for Constitutional Studies and the Alberta Law Reform Institute. Anna-May balanced her academic pursuits with meaningful volunteer work, assisting at Student Legal Services in the Civil and Family Division, participating in the Edmonton Kids in the Court program, and mentoring fellow students in the English Key Program through the Golden Key Honour Society.

Since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2012, Anna-May has built a diverse legal practice, advising clients in areas such as Wills and Estates, Real Estate, and Corporate Commercial Law. Her commitment to professional growth is evident in her dedication to expanding her expertise, including obtaining her Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP) designation. Anna-May is not just a lawyer; she’s a passionate advocate for her community. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Elder Law Northern Alberta Section for the Canadian Bar Association and is an active board member of the Elves Special Needs Society. Additionally, she shares her knowledge as a regular speaker during Wills Week for the Edmonton Community Foundation, helping to educate others about important legal issues.

When she’s not immersed in her legal work, Anna-May enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her family, cherishing the moments that allow her to connect with nature and loved ones. Her commitment to both her profession and community showcases her desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others while maintaining a balanced and fulfilling personal life.
