Tracy King

Tracy King’s practice focuses on estate litigation and contentious estate administrations. She provides strategic and cost-effective advice to personal representatives, beneficiaries, and other estate claimants. Throughout the process she remains aware that litigation is not only expensive, but also emotionally taxing. She seeks to guide clients towards pragmatic resolutions and settlement where possible but has a wealth of courtroom experience to draw upon when the need arises. Over the course of her career, she has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.

Tracy took a break from the practice of law to care for her young children and aging parents. She returned reinvigorated to serve clients with a deeper and more compassionate understanding of the challenges families may encounter with either the declining capacity or death of a loved one.

Tracy graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with her B.A. (Honours) in 1989 and her LL.B. (Distinction) in 1995. She was called to the Alberta bar in 1996.
